Aged Care Leaders Head Up Housing Forum

The City of Kalamunda will host leaders in the aged care industry at their inaugural Retirement Housing Forum at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on 3 November. A free community event, the day will officially open with a presentation from Minister for Aged Care, Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP. Attendees will have chance to hear from CEOs of Bethanie and Alzheimer’s WA, Chris How and Rhonda Parker and gain insight into the latest housing trends.

Kalamunda to Head to Polls 

The City of Kalamunda will hold an extraordinary election in the North Ward to fill one vacancy. Candidate nominations are now open. Electors will receive their postal ballot paper in mid-November, with the election to be held on Friday 14 December. The elected North Ward candidate will see out the current term to October 2019.

Kalamunda Hosts Tiny Houses

What tiny houses lack in size they make up for in reputation. They’re the new housing phenomenon taking the U.S. by storm and are set to hit up Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Sunday 2 December at the City’s inaugural Innovative Housing Expo.

Fund Your Christmas Function

Local businesses, community services or groups can apply for up to $4000 in support funding for their Christmas themed project, activity of event. The event must be held in the City of Kalamunda between 1 and 25 December 25 and funding must be matched dollar for dollar or in kind by the applicant.

Skate At Stirk


One of Perth Hills' premier parks will undergo a facelift this month, transforming into a temporary ice-skating rink. The "Skate at Stirk" event is part of the 2018 Perth Hills Spring Festival, and will provide two days of free skating, food trucks and family fun on 9 and 10 November.
