Access NI Enhanced Checks
 
Carrickfergus Community Forum is a registered Umbrella Body with Access NI. This means that we submit enhanced criminal record checks for community organisations in Carrickfergus. Access NI authorises umbrella bodies to provide these services to organisations.

Parenting Week is a celebration of the important role parents play in their children's lives.


Strong parent-child relationships play a vital role in all areas of children’s development and can have a lasting positive influence throughout a child’s life.

Parenting NI would love to see everyone getting involved with Parenting Week, and have developed a number of resources which you can use during the week with your children or with the parents and children you work with.

Schools throughout Northern Ireland will also be taking part in the week with various resources and activities being provided to teachers to help explore the relationships and communication in the classroom. Read more.

Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust

Primarily funds projects which support the Trust’s interests of education, international friendship and understanding, and the promotion of world peace and development.

Jerwood Charitable Foundation

Dedicated to imaginative and responsible funding of the arts across the UK, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent and excellence. Aims to transform the lives and trajectory of exceptional artists and arts workers in the early stages of their careers by enabling them to develop and thrive, often in collaboration with leading UK arts organisations.

Scott Bader: Commonwealth Global Charity Fund

Aims to help young or disadvantaged people, especially anyone suffering deprivation and discrimination, such as poor, homeless and vulnerable women and children, Minority communities, particularly where people are affected by: poverty, a lack of education, malnutrition and disease.

NEW! Big Lottery Fund: Digital Fund

A new UK wide £15 million funding programme to support charities and community organisations to use digital tools and approaches to support people and communities to thrive.
  • Digital Fund Strand 1 offers grants of up to £500,000 and a tailored support package to help established charities use digital to take a major leap forward.
  • Digital Fund Strand 2 offers grants of up to £500,000 for newer organisations that have already launched promising services that use digital to achieve scale or impact. 
They expect grants to both strands to last from 1 to 4 years.

INTERREG: Sustainable Transport - Electric Vehicles

€6-8 million ERDF programme to promote cross-border, intermodal and sustainable mobility in the region. Aims for an increased number of passenger journeys (up to 25%) using cross-border public transport services and  the number of cross-border journeys made by walking/cycling (up to 10%) in the region, as well as the number of Electric Vehicle (EV) registrations. Closing Date 31 Oct 2018.

Friends Provident Foundation: Building Resilient Economies

A grant-making charity that focuses on exploring the role of money and financial systems as a force for social good.  Particularly concerned with the impact of economic systems on the most vulnerable. Outline Application Deadline: 5 Nov 2018 (12noon).
