OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

CONNECTING ARTS & SUSTAINABILITY IN SCOTLAND

Welcome to the October newsletter!

Hello!

Do you know what connects abandoned petrol stations, a line chalked on the ground in New York, Miami and Bristol and the regeneration of Dumfries in Scotland? They're all examples of collaborations between sustainability partners and artists that feature in the newly launched Library of Creative Sustainability.

This month has also seen Creative Scotland's Regularly Funded organisations submit their Carbon Management Plans. So it's been a busy month, and that's before we even mention our flagship event The Green Arts Conference! The conference programme is out and it's taking place in Edinburgh in less than two weeks on 7 November.

This month as part of "The Story" section - this month highlighting the stark new report by the world's leading climate scientists the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - we're trialling share examples from across the world of where arts and climate are interacting.

Now then, there's plenty of newsletter to be getting on with with lots of our own news and there's also 4 opportunities, 3 guest blogs and a news item in the noticeboard section!

Any feedback about what else you'd like to see in the newsletter and how it can work better for you? Get in touch.

The Library of Creative Sustainability is live!

We’re excited to announce that we launched the Library of Creative Sustainability during Climate Week 2018. The library is a growing database of inspiring case studies for people working to address environmental sustainability and climate change, demonstrating the benefits of collaborating with artists to achieve sustainability outcomes.

We'll be continuing to add to the library and will feature a different case study. If you have something to contribute to the library, or want to discuss setting up a project inspired by the library, please get in touch.
