Dear Students, Families, Alumni, Parishioners, and Friends of ASB School,

Happy Halloween!  Between an awesome Halloween carnival on Sunday at St. Bridget, a spirit-filled assembly on Monday led by our Student Leadership Team, and the sea of costumes, candy, and fun today, it’s been quite the week! And it is only Wednesday. J  I hope everyone has a safe, fun evening tonight.  Trick-or-treat and we will see you for conferences today, tomorrow, or Friday.

Amidst all of the fun, I ask that everyone take time this week to pray for peace and solidarity.  The events in our country over the last week are another reminder of our purpose as a Catholic school; to raise young men and women who practice the love of Jesus, recognize and embrace diversity in all people, and make decisions in their words and actions that promote unity.  As adults, we must continue to model that in our interactions in our families, with friends, in competition, in our community, and particularly in moments of conflict.  Below are some resources you can use when talking about these topics with your children.
Please join us tomorrow to celebrate All Saints’ Day.  Our 3rd – 8th grades will be attending 9:00 AM mass at Assumption, led by our 8B students.  Our PreK-2nd grades will have a prayer service at 10:30 AM.  We would love to see you there to begin the month of November in prayer, celebration, and community.

Best,
Kathleen Conklin
