Startup Weekend 2.0 Recap The second Startup Weekend of 2018 was hosted by Santa Fe College at GTEC, on SE Hawthorne Rd in Gainesville. Over the 54-hour event, nearly thirty participants formed five teams and attempted to build a business model around a new idea. The ideas the teams selected to pursue included renewable energy from household waste, helping university researchers collaborate, gamifying restaurant loyalty programs, an interactive virtual pet, and a niche food truck.
