IMPROVING FATHER HENNEPIN PARK

Learn and Share your ideas about caring for Father Hennepin - Upper Bluffs: Our Central Mississippi Regional Park:

Tuesday, November 13, 6:30 pm
First Congregational Church | 500 8th Ave SE

In 2019, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will invest over $1 million in the upper bluffs of Father Hennepin Bluffs - our regional park on the MIssissippi River.

This park is our neighborhood's gateway for people visiting the Stone Arch Bridge, and holds national significance, lying within the Saint Anthony Falls Heritage District and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. Join park planners and neighbors to learn about the park's master plan and interpretive plans. Offer ideas for making this park an even better place and realizing the long-term goals for this park.

Learn about ways you can shape the planning, and care for the park with the stewardship team.
Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association, the Park Stewardship partner with the MPRB, is co-hosting this meeting with the MInneapolis Park and Recreation Board.

Refreshments will be provided by the MPRB

If you are interested in learning about past planning efforts that examined, and made community-informed suggestions for this area, please visit these documents:

PLEASE TAKE THIS SURVEY

We received a quick note from our fantastic landlord, First Congregational Church, to pass along a quick request to our mailing list. Please consider taking their survey.

Hello, neighbor!  We would like to have our church building used by the community more often. So we are reaching out to find out more about what the community needs space to do (meetings? arts activities? office space? starting a new business? or? ). This short, simple survey should take five minutes or less of your time.
