"I Don't Have Time to Live!"
This Sunday, we continue our fall sermon series, The Way of Love: Practices for Jesus-Centred Life. The practice we're exploring this week is "Rest: Receive the gift of God's grace, peace and restoration", through the story of God's creation of the world in Genesis 1:1-2:4a.
Most of our calendars fill up before we are even aware. With children, grandchildren, work, volunteering, appointments and the dreaded "Unforeseen", life whips past.
In the Christian understanding, Sabbath is intended as a gift. Can we receive it as a blessing or is the Sabbath another thing we can only partially manage?
This Sunday we shall peel back the wrapping and have a closer look.
