Greensboro Highway pavement patching planned Monday

SPARTA - The east central Georgia district continues its pavement preservation plan Monday, Oct. 29 with a State Route (SR) 15/Greensboro Highway deep patching contract from downtown Sparta to the Greene County line.

Crews will interrupt traffic from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily until complete. Expect a flagging station and pilot vehicle to navigate the work zone.

C & H Paving Inc. won the award for $382,177 that includes the 14-mile Hancock County asphalt patching and also crack sealing SR 44/US 129 in Putnam County from the Jones County line 11 miles into downtown Eatonton. That portion of the contract will begin later in the year.

Anticipated completion for this pavement preservation is late December 2018.
