Billed as a musical adventure the Wigles tucked into this feast with their usual gusto. Bringing the Michael Jacksonesque lad who won’t grow up, to the stage. A traditional narrative, sticking closely to J.M.Barrie’s original story the show has become the proud owner of a whole load of new songs and a stage just full of exuberance.

Dali drawing is Soden Gallery showstopper

An original piece of work by renowned surrealist artist Salvador Dali is the centrepiece of a new art exhibition planned for Shrewsbury.
The signed pen and ink drawing, priced at £28,000 and dated 1951, is part of the new winter show at The Soden Collection in Wyle Cop.
Galliery owner Jonathan Soden said that Dali was the world’s leading artist in surrealism and that he was delighted to be able to offer his drawing for sale.

Bruton Knowles Champions Charity Fundraising in Shrewsbury

National property consultants, Bruton Knowles, has launched a new charity partnership with Cancer Research UK, with a target of £30,000 to raise over the next two years.
To raise as much money as possible, Bruton Knowles has internally recruited a Charity Champion. Based in the Shrewsbury office on Knights Way, David Lancaster, Senior Surveyor, be responsible for spearheading the fundraising initiatives within his team, organising events ranging from creative bake offs to sponsored sleep outs and charity auctions.

International tennis stars to compete in Budgen Motors GB Pro-Series at The Shrewsbury Club

Shropshire car dealership Budgen Motors will once more play a key role in the return of top professional tennis to the county next month.
Up and coming stars of women’s tennis will compete in the $25,000 Budgen Motors GB Pro-Series event at The Shrewsbury Club between November 4-10.
It will be the second high-profile tournament they have backed this year after sponsoring a successful men’s event, which was won by Frenchman Fabien Reboul, in February.

Morris & Company launches The Morris Scholarship at University Centre Shrewsbury

Robin Morris, chairman of the fifth-generation family business Morris & Company announced the launch of The Morris Scholarship at University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) Open Day on Saturday (20th October).
The Morris Scholarship will cover the cost of all tuition fees for a full three year degree as well as providing a bursary of £3,000 per year towards the successful applicant’s living costs.

Award win launchpad to going national for Shropshire's UK Fresh Meats

A Shropshire firm specialising in a home meat delivery service and supplying hotels, restaurants, cafes and pubs has its sights set on a national expansion after picking up a prestigious award.
UK Fresh Meats, based at Trench Lock in Telford, was launched in January last year and walked away with a Special Recognition Award in the Exceptional Meat Supplier category at the Food England Awards ceremony held in Manchester.

Newport's Nova United players looking smart thanks to National Windscreens

A Telford firm has given its backing to Nova United Junior Football Club by kitting them out in new match day and training kits.
National Windscreens on Halesfield has sponsored the Nova United Under 11 team based in Newport as they celebrate moving up to the top division in the Telford Junior and Youth Football League.
The team have now been presented with both their new football kits and also their training kits too - both sponsored by National Windscreens.
