Hello <<First Name>>,

I hope the autumn is treating you well. There has been lots of news about my book, The Camino Way, since I last emailed an update in July. The book hit the Top 100 bestseller lists in 8 categories on Amazon.com this summer, ranging from Business Leadership to Travel Writing. The momentum from that has generated a lot of activity on several fronts. Thank you for all your help and interest with the book!
We had great book events in Dallas (pictured), Kansas City, and St. Louis over the last two months for The Camino Way: Lessons in Leadership from a Walk Across Spain (HarperCollins, 2017)You can see photos and news from all of our past and planned book events here. Do you have a favorite local bookstore that might be interested in hosting an event for this book? Let me know by replying back to this message or emailing me at victor@victorprince.com.
The Spanish-language version of The Camino Way by HarperCollins came out on August 21. We also launched a new Facebook page for that Spanish version, which has over 3,000 followers. We just sold the rights in Korean and Chinese, so those should come out within the next year too.
While hiking my third Camino in August, I recorded several short (2-3 minute) videos. Each one shares a lesson from the book. They are also some of the stories I share in the 45 minute keynote speech I do for audiences in corporations, non-profits, and schools. You can see all my keynote speech topics and samples here. If you know of an organization looking for a keynote speaker for an event, I would love to hear about it. You can contact me here or via email at victor@victorprince.com
Our next book event will be in Los Angeles on November 19. The Last Bookstore, an iconic bookstore in downtown LA (pictured), will be hosting me. You can see more details at the invite for the book on Facebook or on Eventbrite. If you know of someone in the LA area who might be interested in learning more about the Camino, feel free to forward on the information to them.
I was interviewed on Ryan Caligiuri's weekly podcast that takes a bestselling book and summarizes it into a few “golden nuggets.” The New York Times said this podcast “is disrupting the way we take in books and is redefining how we get the very best insights from today’s greatest minds in business and the self-help industry.” Other authors who have been interviewed here include idols of mine like Seth Godin, Patrick Lencioni, and Daniel Pink. You can hear the interview here.
I was also interviewed about The Camino Way on the VoiceAmerica podcast on leadership. You can hear the interview here.
I posted dozens of photos from my latest walk on the Camino Frances, Camino Ingles, and Camino Finestera in August. You can see them all on the Facebook page for #TheCaminoWayBook, which has almost 10,000 followers. You can also see them at my website.
After I returned from my latest Camino this summer, I posted a blog about the new leadership lessons I learned this time. You can read the blog here.
If you have read the book, I would very much appreciate it if you could take a moment to give it a rating on Amazon at this link. Here are some examples of reviews from readers:
  • "Fantastic book! The stories are fabulous and touch the heart."
  • "Whether you are looking for direction in leadership, love to read exciting travel books or looking for inspiration in your personal life, this is a great read. I met Victor Prince at an event last year where he was the speaker. Listening to him speak about the book and his personal journey literally changed my life. I cannot recommend his book highly enough."
  • "Intellectual, emotional and soul candy! It is just what I needed to read and hear, in several areas of my life... I am a teacher and leader and will certainly be sharing your observations with both my pupils and colleagues... You are the kind of speaker whose life nuggets will touch lives. Have you considered being a motivational speaker for children and teens as well, whose own ‘Camino’ trajectories could be influenced profoundly by what you share? What a legacy you could leave in hearts and minds... Do keep writing. You have much to say. And, you do it simultaneously simply, profoundly and honestly and it challenges. Magical. Thank you for writing this book." (Via Amazon.co.uk)
  • "Thank you for taking the time, energy and effort to put this book together. Thank you for making the decision to go on this adventure as I am sure there will be many who will connect with what you describe, learn from what you learned and be inspired by what you experienced."
  • "Wow! Great stories, great lessons for business and for life, but most of all a stunning example of the power of pilgrimage."
For book clubs that choose my book, I now offer to do a free conference call into their book club meeting during the discussion of the book. I love answering questions about the book, or even just sharing advice about walking the Camino. See my website for more information on how to book a time.
Are you interested in getting a signed copy of the book for yourself or as a gift? If you send me an email with your postal address, I will mail you a note that you can attach inside a copy of the book you can get from a local bookstore or online. Contact me at victor@victorprince.com or here.
Thanks for your time. I'd love to hear what you are up to. If you have a moment, please reply with an email or connect with me on Facebook or LinkedIn. And please let me know if I can be helpful to you in any way.

All the best to you,
Victor
