Sunday 11 November 2018

Welcome to your weekly newsletter from Crofton Park Baptist Church. This week Helen Bogle is leading and Ray Brown from Grace Church Brockley, is preaching.

THIS WEEK
Why doesn't God make himself more obvious?

I and the Father are one
John 10:30

Remembrance 100

We will be observing a two-minute silence at 11am during the Sunday morning service
On 4th August 1918 King George V led a National Day of Prayer; 100 days later the Great War ended. This year join 100 days of prayer for peace from 4th August to 11th November. For more details visit www.remembrance100.co.uk.

You can find the prayers for this week, 5 - 10 November here.

Church Anniversary Bring & Share Meal and Quiz

Next Saturday, we will be celebrating the 110th Anniversary of Crofton Park Baptist Church. There will be a bring and share meal on Saturday 17th November at 5pm, which will include a quiz.  If you have any photographs or other memorabilia of the church's past (recent or distant!), please do bring them along for others to see.

Support Olive at the annual HOBC Charity Fair

The annual Honor Oak Baptist Church Charity Fair will be taking place on Saturday 17 November from 11am - 2pm. Olive Emptage will be selling items she's knitted herself in aid of Chance for Childhood. Please come along and support her.

Quarterly Church Prayer Meeting

Please do make a special effort to come and pray on Saturday 24th November, 10-11.30am. We will be seeking God together regarding his plans for the growth of the church here, and praying especially for the forthcoming Christmas nativity outreach.
We will also be praying regarding the recent spate of stabbings in south-east London, as a response to a call for churches to seriously pray. Therefore, for part of the time, those that feel able will be invited to participate in a brief prayer walk during the Saturday morning, while others pray in the church.

This week: Pastoral Team Meeting

Members of the church pastoral team are reminded that our next meeting is on Monday 12th November at 11.15am in the church lounge.
