Movie Night!
We had a movie night schedule for Monday, and at last week's meeting the group got totally sidetracked quoting Chicken Little. It was so funny that we decided to watch the movie Chicken Little for our Movie Night.
What's that got to do with apologetics?
I'm glad you asked!
We are all familiar with the main theme of the Chicken Little story. He's the only one who knows the sky is falling.
He has a message for the world, but his credibility is shot. And the world is not listening.
Sound familiar?
We have some bad news (the Law) and some good news (the Gospel) that the world needs to hear. But the credibility of the church and the believability of "religion" is shot in today's boastful world.
We will watch the movie and wrap up with a serious discussion on movie themes that are relevant to us.
Such as:
Do we REALLY believe the Bible in what it teaches about our current state of affairs and our future state of affairs?
Also in the movie, Chicken Little has a strained relationship with his father. He longs to repair it, but doesn't know how. How do we repair strained family relationships?
Come laugh, and dig deep into conversation with us.
Monday Night at 6:30 PM in CFS 123.
