The NVJS 11 Call for Papers officially closed last week. Thanks for your submissions!! As we bunker down to review them, this seems as good a time as any to farewell our outgoing Guest Editor and introduce our incoming Guest Editor.
Our New Voices Scholar Program provides funding to help recent NVJS authors present their work at major area studies conferences in Australia. The next target conference is the Japanese Studies Association of Australia (JSAA) 2019 conference, July 1-4 at Monash University. We'll be contacting authors from NVJS 9, NVJS 10 and NVJS 11 this week for expressions of interest.
If you're not in or from Australia or New Zealand...
...but want to submit to NVJS, then this message is for you! Postgraduate scholars who present at JSAA 2019 will be eligible to submit to NVJS under our new 'Postgraduate Presenter' category.
New Voices in Japanese Studies is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal showcasing the work of emerging scholars with ties to Australia and New Zealand, and research interests in Japan.
