Register today to participate in our 2nd annual health summit this coming weekend! This year's theme is Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies: A NEW START. On Saturday, November 10, we will run concurrent sessions in the sanctuary (English) and at the MAC (Spanish). Our guest speaker for Saturday's services is Dr. M. Christopher Gibbons, currently the Chief Health Innovation Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission, and his presentation is titled Fake News in the Church.
Lunch will be provided (please register so we have an accurate headcount), then we will offer several breakout sessions in the church covering cancer prevention, heart and sexual health and healthy eating. We will simultaneously present sessions for Spanish-speakers at the MAC. You also need to register to secure a seat in the breakout sessions you'd like to attend.
On Sunday, we will have a FREE health fair, from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. Activities include health screenings, cooking demonstrations, massages, health-related activities for the entire family and various health vendor displays. All of the details at metrosda.org/newstart
