Unstoppable Fire!

I’ve been thinking about the story of Pinocchio recently. This little wooden man had a dream to be a real boy and then he got distracted from his dream to go to Pleasure Island. He only realized that he gave up on his dream when he started growing donkey ears.

I was thinking about how we have a deep-rooted God given dream in our Spirit and when we are submitted to God’s love our dreams and desires come from the Holy Spirit. Then the dreams become distorted when we lose focus and become driven by our own selfishness. When we no longer stay in obedience to what God has been speaking to us about, we become distorted and deformed people. So, my question to myself and to you reading this, is what is making you steer your life towards “Pleasure Island” instead of the Kingdom of God? What are your donkey ears?
 
BURN WORSHIP CAMP: 26 – 28 Oct 2018



We had the Burn Worship Camp this weekend, our one and only objective was to Worship King Jesus for all His worth. In Hebrews it captures what God did with us this weekend. For our God is a consuming fire.  Heb 12:29. Fire has no respect. It burns through everything that comes in its way. It doesn’t say, “Oh wait, this is a nice tree, I think I’ll leave it…” no, it burns through everything that comes in its way.
 
God’s fire work in the same way. He comes and put’s His finger on whatever is not from Him and purifies us and leaves us with a fire burning for Him. It’s His kindness, that’s the consuming fire. It’s His mercy, that’s His consuming fire. It’s His purity, that’s His consuming fire.
 
I don’t even know where to begin. We had almost double the amount of people responding to the camp than what we planned for. I am so encouraged to see how people responded in hunger to worship God the entire weekend. I witnessed how we all came in this weekend, tired and frustrated from the week before and life’s issues pressing on our shoulders. I also witnessed how by pursuing God in worship, how people where transformed and touched by the finger of God Himself. It was incredible.
 
While praying during the week before the camp, God told me that there will be people that is going to be baptised. Before I could get around to tell people this, people started approaching me to be baptised.  5 people where baptised. Laying down their past in the water burial with Jesus (Rom 6)
 
We had various musicians over the weekend, rotating. They included Dian Jordaan, Nariska Zietsman, Stefan Potgieter, Nathalie Rabearijo, Werner Louw & band, Jabus Steenkamp – should you want to contact them for worship events, please let me know, I’ll gladly recommend any of them.
 
Louis spoke about the Father heart of God. WOW! It was great to see people respond in ministry time. Men and woman alike were overwhelmed by the love that only Father God can give. I have no words to describe the beauty thereof
 
I was so honoured to serve alongside the ministry team. They were so sharp and accurate with what God gave them to do, and they ministered to people with the gentleness of God. It was truly something amazing to witness.
 
It’s truly my prayer that we will stay ablaze for Jesus and not fall into a weekend-high, but to live from that place of fire with Jesus.

Current Projects
 
  • “Adopt a Junky” Giving back a Person
Morne just started his fourth month at the drug rehabilitation centre which means that he is more than halfway through the programme. We have been receiving excellent feedback. We are looking for an employment opportunity for him for when he is done with his 6 months programme. We can’t let him fall back to old routines. If you know of any one that will be willing to employ him, please let me know. It is imperative that we not take him back to the restaurant industry. Info link
 
  • Finger of God & Worship event
We will have a Worship evening and will also be showing the new Finger of God 2 movie on the 24th of November. It will be an open-air event. There’s nothing like worshipping under the stars. Our team will be preparing hot dogs and drinks. You just need to bring a R50, a blanket or camping chairs and a heart to worship.
 
  • Christmas lunch
We are exploring the viability to prepare a decent Christmas lunch on Christmas day for our homeless friends. If you want to be involved, please speak to myself or Antoinette regarding this

We are seeing an increase in the desperation the homeless has for Jesus. They are creating a culture of worship. With OpenChurch on Wednesday evenings, it is beautiful to see how they abandon themselves in worship before the King of Glory is beautiful. We are also seeing more and more of them becoming freer and freer of addictions the more they worship King Jesus. Some of our homeless friends are down from 15 bags heroin a day, to only 1 per day. Their minds are returning, so are their dreams. Click on the link to see how beautiful the raw street worship truly is

Prayer points:
 

  • We are still working on a way to get the homeless guys, which has a variety of different skills, connected to the employment market. I have made some very good connections on this front. To get everything in order is a massive project and it will only be successful by the grace and favour of God. We need to move the guys as they are coming free from addiction to places where they will be trained and up their skill levels.
  • We are trusting for financial breakthroughs so that we can put our guys through drug rehab (a 12 Month program). Adopt a “Junky” Giving back a Person
  • You can always pray for me.  I have plenty of needs, but I trust the Holy Spirit within you, to guide you to pray for me.
  • I have enrolled in a Theological collage to do my Btc degree. Please pray for financial provision and focus so that I can complete this degree as soon as possible.
  • That we as Kingdom Culture would truly be hungry for the presence of God and would be willing to lay down our lives for Him, no matter what He asks.
  • Our country is going through massive turmoil on various arenas. Please pray with us that Christians would rise to the occasion & take responsibility for praying and practicing Kingdom principles.
  • More open doors to connect with the right people, who dreams God inspired dreams and has a similar vision.
  • I am praying for a base to work from with the homeless, so that we can work on their skill levels and find jobs for them.
  • That more people will start to pray & fast for revival in our nation.
  • For Vision, Strategy, Provision & Connections for us.
