Found Voices with Sara Jane Arbury
Promenade Performance on Tuesday 13 November,
7pm - 9pm. Tickets available at The Master's House, Ledbury
Found Voices, a collaboration between poet Sara-Jane Arbury, Joined Up Heritage and Ledbury Poetry Festival, commemorates the centenary of the First World War and celebrates the heritage of the historic market town of Ledbury. Sara-Jane has created a unique poetic trail around eight key heritage sites in Ledbury using ‘found poetry’ comprising words from First World War poets – famous names and lesser known female writers - and phrases contained in the buildings themselves.
Found Voices uses Sara-Jane’s distinctive voice to weave eight iconic Ledbury buildings with numerous World War One poets, creating a distinct, poignant and surprising collection. The poems created for the project are available for free online and around the Ledbury area in a pamphlet published by Joined Up Heritage.
Join a special evening promenade performance of Found Voices by Sara-Jane Arbury on Tuesday 13th November at 7-9pm starting at the Master’s House in Ledbury and culminating at St Michael’s Church where refreshments will be served.
