We are looking for social challenges from the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise sectors from across Northern Ireland that could help transform the sector! We need your ideas and inspiration!

The Techies in Residence programme supports voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Northern Ireland to creatively use digital technology to enhance their social impact.

It pairs VCSE organisations with a 'Techie' a digital technology professional to collaboratively develop a new prototype digital product - a tool, app, platform - over a 10-12 week period. Expert support and mentoring is also provided by Innovate-NI who handhold each project through the process and also support projects to  access additional support to plan for the growth and sustainability of their idea in future.

Please note that Techies in Residence is about using technology to enhance the mission-facing work of organisations and is not a vehicle for projects that focus primarily on internal organisational systems, communications or fundraising.

Ambitious companies in the Region in all industry sectors are being offered a unique opportunity to invest in their management and leadership skills through a customised cross-border programme underpinned by peer-to-peer learning and “learning from the Bigger Guys”. The programme offers owner managers a business support forum where they can network and discuss business growth challenges with established large ‘parent’ companies in the region. These ‘parent’ companies are leaders in their industry sectors, and support the programme by sharing their skills and experience within the network on an ongoing basis over a 12-month period.

The PLATO Programme is launching in the Fermanagh and Omagh region and can take a small number of companies from neighbouring counties/Council jurisdictions across the Region North and South. The two parent company leaders in Fermanagh and Omagh will include Balcas CEO, Brian Murphy and Telestack Marketing Manager Mairead McCrory.
