Nov. 14: MoCo State Delegation Hearing on I-495 Expansion, 2019 Priorities

With the election behind us, attention shifts to the General Assembly in the fight for better transportation options and stopping Governor Hogan's destructive plan to widen I-495 for expensive, privatized toll lanes.

Fortunately, the Montgomery County Delegation -- which pulled more than 70 percent of all votes cast -- is leading the way and will hold a Wednesday Nov 14 public hearing on Beltway and I-270 expansion and other 2019 priorities.

The Nov 14 hearing starts at 7 pm in the County Council hearing room on the third floor of 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD. The Sierra Club of Maryland is sponsoring a rally against Beltway and I-270 expansion.

We encourage everyone who can to join the rally, attend the hearing and, consider testifying about the impact Gov. Hogan's Lexus Lanes will have on traffic, their communities, families, livelihood, and the environment.
