2018 Midterm Elections • Dante • Supernova!

On November 6th we will make a difference. Tell your friends why YOU are voting. #useyourvoiceandvote

Use Your Voice Campaign

We worked very hard, in collaboration with Jordan Barrow (Den of Thieves), to get the word out to #useyourvoiceandvote during the 2018 midterm elections, and were very happy to see the number of young voters who came out to make a difference in this country.

"Thirty-one percent of voters aged 18 to 29 cast ballots in the 2018 midterm elections, shattering turnout rates from the past quarter century, according to an estimate by the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University. This year's turnout was at least 10 percent higher than for the 2014 midterms, according to the center's estimates."

Trans March

Get Lit teaching artists Hanna Harris and Marcus James organized Trans March LA that took place Friday, November 2nd and travelled from Pershing Square to City Hall. Nearly 500 people joined them in a march to honor trans & gnc friends and family. Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work!

Dante

Our production of Dante, a modern adaptation of Dante's Inferno, and written by our own Raul Herrera, will be performed THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, at UCLA. Please email amanda@getlit.org to RSVP. Tickets are limited - first come first served. The production will be a staged reading with live music.

Friday's "Dante" follows our original storyline of a young man from South LA, while Saturday's show is the tale of a young immigrant girl. In our quest for salvation and redemption, we are all Dante.
