Hey Everyone!

What makes a great business - beyond great branding, marketing and your products or services?

Your biggest asset in business, by far, are your customers!

How often do you take the time to thank them for what they do for you?

Taking time to show customer appreciation by rewarding your clients for loyalty can definitely go a long way in building and sustaining these prosperous relationships.

Here are a few simple and thoughtful ways you can do this throughout the year:

1. Invite them to a special event

If you have tickets to a special charity event or sporting event, passing on the tickets to a client is a great way to show your appreciation.

You can also host a client VIP event, such as a movie night, a family event during Halloween or Christmas, or a wine and cheese party at your office or local venue.

Encourage your clients to bring their family and friends. This brings an entirely new audience to your business. Be sure to have a way to capture any new guests information - either with a pre-event registration or at the event in the form of a prize draw.

2. Offer a referral bonus or reward.

Consider providing a discount or added service  - free of charge for any referrals. Depending on the type of business you have, drawing for a great prize for all referrals periodically may work better.  Be sure the rules and guidelines for your referral program are crystal clear and that you’re promoting the program consistently.

3. Give them recognition.

Everyone wants to be seen, heard and appreciated. When working with a great client you can post a picture of the two of you on social media, in your newsletter or on your website explaining how they've helped you grow your business. Always ask for permission and a testimonial that you can use cross-platform!

Since the holidays are coming up, a great way to say "thank-you" is to send out holiday cards or small gifts - in the mail with a stamp! Keep in mind handwritten cards have a personal touch and go a long way in our digital age.

Have a great week!

Have you seen our latest Blog post?

Have you ever wondered how gift giving affects your clients? The benefits of giving business or corporate gifts are plentiful. These days, giving gifts as Entrepreneurs, Realtors and Small Business owners to clients is no longer seen as “nice to” but rather as a business imperative. Client gifts help businesses to create goodwill, strengthen relationships, enhance your company’s image and create an emotional connection and positive perception of your brand.

Here are a few dos and don’ts for gift giving for the holiday season or any time of the year. There is a distinction between promotional gifts and corporate gifts. Both are valuable marketing tools for specific purposes in business. Promotional items are typically branded items of a lower cost, used as giveaways in large quantities as an extension of advertising efforts. Corporate and or business gifts, on the other hand, are typically higher value items which are given with the intention of showing gratitude and strengthening relationships. They increase brand loyalty and encourage recipients to interact favourably with your brand.
