Journal: Residential Moves and its Association with Substance Use, Healthcare Needs, and Acute Care use Among Homeless and Vulnerably Housed Persons in Canada

There is substantial evidence that demonstrates homelessness is associated with poor health outcomes. However, less is known about the health of individuals who are vulnerably housed or experience frequent housing transitions. This study found that the number of residential moves increased the risk of unmet healthcare needs, acute care utilization and problematic substance use among persons who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
