Stuart Reid began his career in groceries as a carry-out and stock clerk for a conventional grocery store back in 1972, never believing for a minute that he would still be working in the grocery business 45+ years later. He probably wouldn’t if he hadn’t discovered food co-ops in Minneapolis when he moved there for college. Since then he has managed and helped open a number of food co-ops and has served on several co-op boards. Stuart has been part of FCI since its earliest years and is deeply committed to its mission.
FCI is the national organization created more than a decade ago to assist a new generation of food co-ops. FCI helps start up co-ops on their journey from initial concept to store opening and beyond.
