Last month was a busy one, buzzing with activities all over. That is why the newsletter is a bit late, but better late then never they say. We put together a quick recap of what was going on and what we have in store for you.

Seascape Cup

We travelled here to fight but in a civilised and friendly manner. We conquered the locals, not with swords and spears but rather with our tight friendship and love for sailing. That is why we have won. Every single one of us has won and took home a plentiful bounty of good memories.

What is this all about?

Ready the story

Jabuka27

History repeats itself. We went around Jabuka however painfully slow. Light wind conditions tested the nerves of our sailors. On the other hand, summer temperatures with sunshine during the day and clear starry sky in the night made it all worthwhile. Surprising turnarounds, personal battles and fights to the finish made it interesting for those ashore as well. Read our reports, watch the videos and check out the photos. There are plenty.

Organised by the Hamburg Sailing Club and this year accompanied by almost ideal sailing conditions with plenty of sun and – for the Alster – even winds between 2 and 4 Bft. The event became a memorable event for everyone. 32 teams this year has for the first time sailed on our First 18s fleet. We hope that this can turn to long-lasting cooperation.

Phil Sharp Q&A

Phil Sharp is currently fighting his solo battles on Route du Rhum, and he is doing a great job. More than a month ago on Silverrudder which was not meant to be sailed this year (not even by a honey badger like Phil), we asked him about his sailing life and experiences. A short Q&A turned into a lovely afternoon chat with plenty of laughter. Check the full video above and give a shout of support to Phil by visiting his website and see how he is doing.

Sea Trials Barcelona

We had a first joint event with Beneteau last month. We were invited to show our boats to the nautical journalist from the whole of Europe. Most of them were already familiar with what we do, but some were nicely surprised.
