Hi <<First Name>>,

Happy New Year!

In an effort to renew focus on the core values that Fit Werx was founded, Fit Werx in Vermont is switching to an appointment only schedule for all service and fitting work as well as product sales and consultations.  This means that, while the "Open" flag will still be out at times, we will no longer have regular hours for walk-in service.

For many folks, this will mean little as you already contact us in advance before coming in. For those that are used to walking in, we hope that we can serve more of your cycling needs by appointment.

Why is Fit Werx Vermont Going to an Appointment Only Schedule?

  • We want to give the best service and attention we can to the person who is on the schedule and in-front of us at the moment.
  • We, like many shops, are struggling to handle the load from walk-in repair/service work in the busiest months.
  • While a new technician (Jeff) is coming on-board, Jim retired from his long-time role as service manager on January 1.
  • We want to serve those people who support us the best we can. This means focusing on bike fit clients, building new bikes for our athletes, and completing repairs (especially for people who have bought their bike from us) as efficiently, conveniently and professionally as we can.
  • Additional information can be found at https://fitwerx.com/about-us/vermont-shop/

What Does this Mean for Repair Turn Around & Capacity at Fit Werx Vermont?

  • Bike Repair:  Our weekly spring-time repair capacity will be reduced - fall/winter remain a great time to make an appointment to get your bike ready for the spring. People who have bought bikes from Fit Werx will receive priority status when it comes to scheduling service work; our goal is to serve those folks who have bought bikes from us better than ever.
  • Bike Fitting: Our bike fittings have always been appointment only; there will not be a change to our overall fit capacity.
  • Bike Sales & Delivery:  Our goal is to improve our turnaround time between ordering and delivery for new bike buyers.
  • Parts and Accessory Purchases:  We are happy to meet with you by appointment and/or to arrange for pick-up/delivery of items.
  • Stopping in to Talk Shop:  The hours the "Open" flag is up won't be consistent. If the flag is not out and you need something or just want to stop-in, call 802-496-7570 and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

While working by appointment means that we can’t serve everyone as quickly as some folks like, it helps us provide the level of service and consistency that those folks who support us deserve. If you value personalized and consistent interaction with people who are passionate, research driven, and have decades of experience making bikes work better for riders, we think you will like the benefits of this appointment only schedule.

More information on Fit Werx Vermont's schedule and approach can be found here.

It is worth noting that Fit Werx in Peabody, MA has new hours for walk-in traffic, but is also now doing service and fit work only by appointment. Fit Werx in NJ is continuing to operate by appointment only.

Please let us know any concerns or thoughts you may have and thank you for your past business.  We hope to serve you better than ever moving forward!
