Students of the Month - Meserani, Tanzania
Siboti Sironga is a five year old little girl from the Meserani School in Tanzania. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite subject is Math. When she grows up she wants to be a teacher. Siboti lives with her grandparents about a 40 minute walk from school. Her favorite thing about going to the Meserani School are all the beautiful flowers around the campus and getting the chance to learn.
Naomi Lemali is a six year old little girl who also loves the color blue. Much like her co-Student of the Month Siboti, Naomi’s favorite subject is also Math. However, when she grows up she wants to become a doctor. Naomi lives much closer to school, only about a 20 minute walk. She lives with her mother, father and brother where she helps with the cooking and cleaning responsibilities. She also enjoys the flowers that bloom year-round at Meserani School.
Not much separates these children from our own – they want to become teachers or doctors – the future leaders on their community. However, they don’t have the same opportunities that our kids do. However, the Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation is there to help them secure an early education and meal, free of charge. Please consider becoming a monthly donor to ensure that these children can continue to learn, dream and thrive.
