With so many things going on in and around Downtown Knoxville, South Knoxville, and Happy Holler, it can be hard to decide what to do, so we here at Marble Alley Development have chosen to showcase some of the most interesting events for you. Enjoy!

Listen: Pet Envy with Karate Blocks & Soulfinger, Friday, November 9th, 8pm, Preservation Pub

Prince? Check. Talking Heads?. Check. Motown? Check. These are just some of the influences of Nashville’s Pet Envy. Pet Envy is generating a lot of buzz with their fun and inclusive live performances. The band radiates a natural vibe that they’re having more fun than the crowd is, allowing each person in the room to unashamedly move and dance as if they were all alone in the comfort of their own home.

At the intersection of pop and new wave, Pet Envy is sure to delight fans of MGMT, Empire of the Sun, Fitz and the Tantrums, Foster the People, Misterwives, Chromeo, Phoenix, The Killers, and The xx. Free admission before 8pm-$5 after 8pm. More information here.

See: Nature at Night, Friday, November 16th 6-7:30pm, Ijams Nature Center

Many nocturnal animals have an innate ability to use stars to find their way while humans need a bit of help. We have created constellations to help us navigate the mass of stars and stories to navigate the constellations. This month we gather around the campfire as we learn how to find our way in the night sky using stories, so we too can navigate the constellations like nocturnal animals. Registration ends on Friday, Nov 10 at 5 p.m. More information and tickets can be found by clicking here.
