Welcome
Last Thursday Australian teachers and students celebrated the joy of music education by participating in our Music: Count Us In program. Over a million people watched our live stream and 700,000 students sang in unison throughout the country for our annual Celebration Day event.
I had the privilege of being part of our main event in Hobart, with over 2,500 very excited children performing on the Bellerive Boardwalk.
The atmosphere was electric as the countdown began. Our 2018 program song called One Song, was written by students, for students, and echoed throughout school halls, classrooms and public spaces. It was a strong reminder of how music brings us together.
As always, become a Music Australia member, follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and share your news, as we bring you the latest music info.
Cheers,
Rhonda Davidson-Irwin
