Complexities of Culture in Divorce and Separation
November 13, 2018 | Colorado Springs, CO
This webinar will focus on increasing our awareness of the intersectional issues of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, nationality and sexual orientation in marriage and divorce. It is necessary to uncover our assumptions of “typical” families and become familiar with the relatively new definitions and structure of global families. The experience of families who do not fall into the “traditional” model of family and those that may have roots in two cultures is often one of confusion and chaos. Besides updating the professionals on the current research, this webinar aims to inspire participants to reflect on their own biases and how these may help or hinder their work..
