Are you passionate about the Hauraki Gulf?
Can you spare half a day to help build some new shellfish beds in the Gulf?

Revive Our Gulf, with support from The Nature Conservancy, North Island Mussels and Biomarine, are planning to deploy 30 tonnes of live mussels in the Mahurangi Harbour at the end of this month. This will add to the 50 tonnes of mussels that were deployed in the harbour last year. We are calling for fit volunteers to help shovel mussels overboard on one (or all!) of the dates below.

Deployment dates are:
Friday 23 November: 6:15 am to mid-morning
Thursday 29 November: 11:15 am to mid-afternoon
Friday 7 December: 6:15 am to mid-morning

We are meeting at Scott’s Landing, end of Ridge Road, Mahurangi East.

If you would like to be a part of restoring this ecologically important habitat in the Gulf, please contact Carina Sim-Smith (Carina@clearsight.co.nz 027 223 0915), and we will send you further details.
