Koehne's Corner
November 7th 2018

Do you have a job that follows a similar routine or one that is unpredictable? Well I can tell you, life as a principal is never boring. There are days when I head into school and I know there’s a full list of things I will need to do. Sometimes I can run right through the list and get everything done and then there are other times when I get to the end of the day and I haven’t touched my list except to add to it. Then there are the rare occasions when I come to work and don’t have a full agenda. Those are the days I know something will come up; I just don’t know what it is. Sometimes there are great surprises with fun and exciting experiences with the students and teachers. Other times there are great surprises of the not so fun nature.

Whatever a day may bring I know that I don’t need to walk through it alone. Hebrews 4:14-16 says, " Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." No matter what your current job is, whether it is routine or unpredictable, God is there with you. In life with your family and friends, through the good and the bad, God is with you. You are never alone.

Donations for Day of Giving
Valley Parents and Students, Please consider gathering or purchasing donations for ICM (Interfaith Cooperative Ministries).  This great ministry, as stated on their website is "provided by volunteers, with an emphasis on hope and dignity for the individual. While helping the very poor be fed and clothed, we encourage their self-sufficiency with specific assistance and education." ICM helps provide people in need with basic necessities for which we are asking donations, such as: regular or travel size shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, glasses/sunglasses, well-maintained used/new clothing, and bath towels. Please bring all donations to Mrs. Larkin's classroom (room 203) by 8 am Friday, November 16. Thank you for your servant hearts!
