Urgent Help Needed - Notice to All Club Members and Supporters
The major flooding of Dorothy Laver Reserve West and East on Tuesday was a godsend for our club and the growing body of residents and environmentally concerned people who are expressing protest at the proposed synthetic field, soccer development. We are heartened by the hard work that many concerned residents are putting into their protest.
Take a look on the club website and Facebook page for some images of the flooding which Boroondara Council claim never happens.
WE HAVE TWO SIGNIFICANT DATES WHICH ARE THE CRUNCH POINT FOR THIS PROPOSAL AND OUR CLUB’S FUTURE – PLEASE NOTE THEM AND HELP THE CLUB BY ATTENDING THESE CRUCIAL PUBLIC MEETINGS
- Monday 12th November at 6.30 pm, Boroondara Council Offices, 9 Ingelsby Rd, Camberwell.
- Monday 10th December at 7pm, Boroondara Council Offices
The first meeting is a Services Special Meeting of the full Council where the club will be given 9 minutes to speak to the Submission it has lodged on behalf of the club. Also, any club member or person who made an online response to the Council’s survey back in July is entitled to speak for 3 minutes – we want club members to attend and speak up. Speakers need to avoid repeating points which have already been covered so please send us an email at president@clclax.org.au if you intend speaking so that we can co-ordinate content to our best advantage.
Follow the link to see the full report by Council Officers which has recommended that the project proceeds:

The second meeting on 10th December is a Council Meeting at which Councillors will vote on whether to Approve, Amend or Abandon the project.
Please put your other commitments aside on these dates and help our club by attending these crucial meetings – there are no second chances
