FINALLY THE REVEAL IS HERE!!

I know you have been on pins and needles this week too! Waiting for me to show you the final photos of the 6 week #oneroomchallenge of my master bath remodel...

Well... wait no longer!!!! It's reveal day!!!

We have completed the #ONEROOMCHALLENGE of my master bathroom remodel #cartermasterbathremodel ...in 6 weeks (actually we completed early - 5 weeks)!!! Can you believe it??
This experience has been a blast. THANK YOU  to all that have followed along! Its such a great feeling to get stopped in the street with someone telling me they have been following, and are excited to see the reveal... and I didn't even know they were following! And all of the emails and messages with support and excitement I have received- THANK YOU!! This is the reason why I signed up!

Thank you @oneroomchallenge and @betterhomesandgardens and @homelovenetwork for making this happen! And also for the encouragement along the way!!! P.s. I so hope to get featured :-)

If you have been following me along on Instagram and Facebook stories my master bathroom finally got a a complete gut!! And I had 6 weeks start to finish to do this. May I remind you that EVERYTHING has been done in 6 weeks - Including the design, planning, scheduling, ordering of product, AND labor!!!  I did not decide to sign up for the One Room Challenge until 2 days before the start date. This is not a typical schedule... Usually the design process can take 4+ weeks, then you get on everyone's schedules (good contractors & trades are booked way out these days). Then you order product to make sure it's here on time, then you start demo. Well because its my bathroom and I'm a little crazy- I worked every  night, every weekend, in between client meetings, etc. to get this done. Don't expect this type of crazy for all my design clients lol. You don't want me in your house at 11pm measuring and planning... I need a little rest to keep up the good work :-)

BUT WE ARE DONE!!! AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!!! So lets get on with it and show you the before and AFTERS!!!
Remember this??? These are the BEFORE pictures...
We are grateful to have an ensuite in our master bedroom. Yes it is small- only 4' x 10' total in size! So function was key. And what to do in a small space- make an impact! Go big with STYLE & DESIGN... So that is what we did!

The design process all started with tying the style into our modern ranch home. We wanted it to feel as bright, light and spacious as possible. But also add some drama (since our master bedroom has all walls wrapped in moody red grass cloth wallpaper) Yes you will get to see the master bedroom soon :-)
And here are the AFTER!!!!
I partnered up with some of my favorite vendors for the product. First up was adding a door! Can you believe we have been living without one for 3.5 years. LOL. Bruce at Architectural Specialty hooked us up with this beautiful vertical grain doug fir single panel shaker door with glass, and #Emtek hercules lever hardware in stainless finish.
I have to say the Fireclay Tile in Vintage Leather on the vanity wall is my favorite! The most amazing color! Love it. And the oversized Lily wall sconces by Arteriors have me smiling every time I walk through the door. Then you look up and see the amazing #kellywearstler ceiling light fixture in brass. OMG she is one of my biggest design icons. AND the VANITY!!! What can I say Cooks Custom Cabinets comes through every time with solid craftsmanship and beautiful wood and finishes. My voice is getting higher as I type this because that walnut floating vanity makes me so happy!!! Adding a floating vanity here makes the room feel so much bigger. And having two large drawers instead of cabinets is a dream come true for this virgo to organize away!
We are slowly remodeling a 1964 ranch style home... so you will notice the original backsplash tile went up the wall at the same height as the new slab- 10". This was one design feature from the original bathroom that I decided to keep- it feels true to style of the home (which I love designing to). Here we used Bedrosians Sequel Quartz in Calacatta Ravenna.
All of the plumbing fixtures are from Fergusons. They are #Brizo Odin collection in matte black finish. Thank you Fergusons for always coming through on my projects! Oh and I cannot forget the toilet! HaHa. This bidet toilet seat is quite a hit! I still can't believe we have a bidet :-) This is a #Kholer toilet with bidet seat. This thing is sexy- you should see the remote- it looks like an iphone! I feel so fancy when I have 10+ settings to choose from. (We all know I like to be fancy sometimes lol). If you come over for a dinner party and you can't find me or my husband- thats where we are! We are spending way too much time in here because of this amazing product that we never thought we would use!
LOOK at the details. Watch how the natural stone tile on the back wall of the shower travels seamlessly down the wall onto the shower floor, up and over the curb and all the way under the floating vanity... This is a design trick to make a small space seem a bit bigger. And this herringbone pattern took TIME to do. I'm sure you remember my stories daily with Brian Hoagland (my tile installer). This is a masterpiece! Oh and these beautiful stone tiles are from Natural Stone Design Gallery... They are the #SonomaStone Quadra and they have an amazing texture!  Natural Stone Design Gallery were saints on helping me track down one extra box when we ran short.
They other wall tile is also from Natural Stone Design Gallery in Sac. This is the Dakota Cascade by Sonoma Tile. Love this too- the white is an amazing white!
Can we take a second here to check out the amazing accessories and local talent on the wall! The three framed art pieces are by a local artist, Rebecca Roehr, whom I've known since middle school. These are part of her California Collection (7 pieces total) which I am obsessed with. They really are genius and the detail and colors are amazing! You can purchase at Volution Gallery on Main St. in Placerville. ALSO the candle and bath salts/scrubs are from my favorite store- Midnight Kin- also on main st. in Placerville! Check them out. Its a beautiful store and their product is SO GOOD.
Because I finished a week early we have been using the bathroom and taking notes on all the product... Would you all like to hear reviews???
Big shout out to @nicoledianne for taking these amazing photos! Make sure to follow her on Instagram as well! She just had a baby and he is oh so cute to watch!!!
