SA masterpieces at Strauss & Co auction 

From Nov 9-11 visit The Wanderers Club to see the incredible collection of South African art on Strauss & Co auction house's Nov 12 sale, their biggest ever live art auction. The pre-auction exhibition includes more than 340 works, among them an astonishing 11 paintings by Irma Stern, 17 works by Pierneef and rare pieces from the 'neglected tradition' of black South African artists. There's also a fantastic lineup of talks and walkabouts (pictured Mary by Irma Stern).

Cycling the city with Micro Adventure Tours

One of the most thrilling and energetic ways to explore downtown Joburg is by bike. We joined Kennedy Tembo of Microadventure Tours on a new guided bike tour of the city, the Jozi Coffee Cycle Tour, which follows a route through the heart of the city on the hunt for the best coffee. Janice Honeyman's Snow White

Back on stage for the first time in 31 years, Janice Honeyman's Snow White is showing at Joburg Theatre until Dec 23. Starring actor Desmond Dube (pictured), and radio star John Robbie, Honeyman has pulled out all the stops with this lavish production that includes 3D animation and a mini ice rink.
