The Durban University of Technology (DUT) strives itself on improving the life chances and aspirations of student entrepreneurs and helping them to reach their maximum potential.

Two budding entrepreneurs, Sibongile Mdlaka and Siyabonga Innocent Ndwalane are on their way to the International Cairo Exhibition of Innovation, an annual innovation market, taking place from 8 to 9 November 2018, in Egypt.

DUT ALUMNI DOMINATES REGIONAL VODACOM JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR AWARDS


The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Journalism alumni dominated the KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards held in Durban recently.

The DUT Journalism alumni scooped five out of 12 categories. Matthew Savides from Tiso Blackstar clinched the opinion category, which is new to the Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards.

DUT’S FOOD AND NUTRITION DEPARTMENT HONOURS STUDENTS FOR THEIR EXCELLENCE


The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Department of Food and Nutrition Consumer Sciences honoured the top performing students during its annual Awards Ceremony held on 31 October 2018 at the Rendezvous Restaurant on the Steve Biko Campus.

The awards ceremony was attended by staff and students from the department and the Faculty of Applied Sciences. It was also graced by the presence of industry partners and other external stakeholders.

The Composite Research Group (CRG) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) is currently hosting their Third International Conference on Composites, Biocomposites and Nanocomposites (ICCBN) which is taking place in Port Elizabeth, South Africa from today, 7 November 2018, to 9 November 2018. The conference is hosting leading researchers, scientists and experts from around the world.
