November 2018

Dear Colleagues,

Three years ago, the University of Arizona implemented a new budget allocation model called Responsibility Centered Management (RCM). This fall, the UA established a review team to collect university-wide data and feedback about RCM with the goal of identifying potential improvements and modifications moving forward.

On Friday, Nov. 16, faculty and staff at the College of Medicine – Tucson are invited to share their feedback directly with the RCM review team. Please join us at 3:30 p.m. in the DuVal Auditorium. (Kindly RSVP here if you are attending.) UA Provost Jeff Goldberg and Interim CFO Lisa Rulney will be in attendance to listen to questions, concerns, experiences and any other feedback.

There will be no formal presentation or updates about RCM. This meeting is part of the RCM review team’s “Listening Tour.” As part of this tour, each UA college is being visited for an open discussion about RCM.

Feedback shared at this meeting will be included in the RCM’s three-year review process. The team will ultimately produce a report with a set of recommendations for President Robert Robbins.

I hope to see you Friday.

Sincerely,

Irving L. Kron, MD
Interim Dean, College of Medicine – Tucson
Senior Associate Vice President, UA Health Sciences
