Big news in business data
YourEconomy: Latest and greatest data

1.    The “latest” numbers: 2017 establishment data is now available at YourEconomy.org

2.    The “greatest” numbers: Based on feedback from users, BDRC created a more reliable way to track establishments as “in-business.”  Check it out! Email Jess Nelson if you have any questions.

The holiday 'spirits'
As we kick off a season of celebrations, we wanted to share success stories from clients who make a living making beloved Wisconsin beverages...
Mead: Iron River
Spirits: Madison
Beer: Spooner
Impact: Shop local

Communities across Wisconsin supported Small Business Saturday Nov. 24. It's important to continue to #ShopSmall during the holiday season and all year long. Consider these numbers:
  • 448,000: Small businesses in Wisconsin
  • 1.2 million: People employed by small businesses in the state
  • 35,895: Net jobs created in 2015
  • 67 cents: Out of every dollar spent at a small business stays local
  • $4.8 trillion: GDP if U.S. small businesses were a country (equivalent to Japan)
Thanks to WEDC and the SBA for helping us promote this during visits to La Crosse and Chippewa Falls this year!
