Emergency Awareness Updates
Our CEPOA Neighborhood Emergency Awareness Team (NEAT) is currently seeking Block Captains and neighbors who want to assure that we are prepared when there is a local emergency. Read the Block Captain Job Description here.
During November and December members of the Team are planning to “Beta Test” a survey process with those they know, to show them the free preparedness handouts we plan to give each neighbor, including a “Vial of Life”—(a plastic container you put on the outside of your refrigerator which contains emergency information for first responders). Team members will also beta test a Household Information Form that can identify neighbors who have special needs or who have special skills they might provide in time of emergency. We are planning to survey the entire neighborhood in February and March.
In an emergency, we want to be able to account for all our neighbors and identify those who need assistance. We want to encourage every household to be prepared in case of emergency.

Meet Your Supervisor
Part of CEPOA's mission is "To represent the interests and concerns of CEPOA members to government and other entities." Toward that end, we are hosting an informal meeting with Supervisor Bruce Gibson on December 6, 4:30 to 6 PM, in the meeting room at Sea Pines. Los Osos Community Advisory Council District 4 members David Harris and Timothy Carstairs will also join us. All current CEPOA members are invited. It's a nice opportunity to get better acquainted and to discuss current issues. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be provided. Other beverages available for purchase.
