Saturday 24th November 2-4pm
Family Workshop
Eco Hut, Okehampton College

Come and help make the harvest of apples last into the winter by using them to make mincemeat and jam. Make apple and quince crumble to eat around the fire at the end, plant bulbs in the garden and cover the ground for winter, hear seasonal stories, play inside and out and enjoy being together come rain or shine.

For all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult

Friday 30th November
"BAG IT" Film and Food Night with guest speaker Nicky Scott from Proper Job, Chagford.
6.30 pm for Food 7.30 pm for Film Ockment Centre, Okehampton
Come and enjoy a delicious organic meal with food sourced from local farmers and find out more about the plastics around us everyday and help think about solutions for the future. Nicky will lead a Q and A session at the end. We hope to see you there.

Sunday 2nd December 2-5pm Christmas Preserves Workshop West Town Farm, Ide, Nr Exeter
EX2 9TG

Come and make Christmas Pudding, Mincemeat and Chutney. Bring 4 washed jam jars with lids and a small pudding basin.

There will also be the opportunity for a short walk around this beautiful organic farm.

Refreshments and all ingredients supplied. Please let us know any dietary requirements.

Natural Wreath Making
Hilltown Organics, Okehampton

Making winter wreaths out of evergreen and other natural materials is a tradition that goes back to Pagan times and pays tribute the the natural cycle of the seasons. Gather some of the materials yourself from our organic land. Take home your own wreath.
All materials used will be natural and wreath can be composted at home.

Hot mulled apple juice and other drinks provided.

Cost £18 (£12 reduced). Limited Spaces.

Saturday 22nd December 2-4pm
Family Workshop
Eco Hut, Okehampton College

Come and celebrate midwinter. Help prepare the yule log for burning at the end to enjoy seasonal stories in the warmth. Make mince pies using the mincemeat made at the previous workshop. Roll beeswax candles, make willow tree decorations, create a wreath or green table decoration, help plant a tree, play inside and out and enjoy being together at this festive time.

FARM WALK: West Town Farm, Ide
EX2 9DG

Come and find out more about this organic farm on the outskirts of Exeter and about the educational charity organicARTS that is based there. There will be a walk followed by campfire cooking at the end. This is the first of 4 seasonal walks celebrating the changing seasons.

Come and waissail the apple trees, help create a raised bed, prepare parsnip and apple soup to eat around the fire, listen to seasonal stories, make a lantern, and a calendar for the year ahead. Play inside and out and celebrate the New Year together.
