Come join New York Times bestselling author Melanie Benjamin (The Aviator's Wife, The Swans of Fifth Avenue) in a discussion about books and writing. We will read Angela Flournoy’s The Turner House, a novel about an African-American family in Detroit.  This is a book about what it takes to remain a family in challenging times. We’ll discuss the book and how it pertains to our lives, and how we can write our own stories. Start reading the book now, and join us on January 20!

In this time of deep divisiveness, the Associated Press released a story about our work using art to encourage first steps toward connection and unity.

"This Chicago neighborhood is divided by race and income by the very street that intersects it, Sedgwick Street. A small band of neighbors from both sides hope an art studio — can help unite them." AP Video by Martha Irvine. (Sept. 26)
