Starting Sunday, due to daylight savings, all Iqamah times will change and move an hour earlier as indicated by the highlighted red times in the table.

Last week, the Executive Committee called for a General Body Meeting for today Friday, November 2nd, after Isha (7:45 PM), inshAllah. The purpose of this meeting is to highlight recent bylaw violations occurring at the Masjid and to establish transparency between the board and the members.
Rules and Regulations:
In order to maintain an organized, positive, and productive environment, the following rules will be applied, and enforced, during the General Body Meeting:
1) When asking a question, please be respectful and raise your hands for a question as questions will be answered in order.
2) As per the bylaws, if a voting process occurs during the meeting, only current members, who have maintained his/her membership for an uninterrupted period of at least 60 days prior to the meeting, are allowed to vote.
3) Arguments occurring amongst members during the General Body Meeting will not be tolerated. Members involved in such arguments will be asked to leave the meeting since such arguments detract from the purpose of the meeting and are disruptive and disrespectful towards other members.
Please keep in mind that the purpose of the meeting is for everyone to have the opportunity to provide constructive input, whether it being a criticism or suggestion. The board welcomes all constructive input as this is the best way for all of us to move forward together.

MSA Community Kitchen Project

Last year the UC Davis MSA introduced the Community Kitchen project to students. This service proved to be a very successful and beneficial program. Alhamdulillah, the Community Kitchen order form for this week is now available. The order form for this week will close today, Nov 2nd, at 8pm inshaAllah.

Membership Renewals (UPDATED)

Please check your name in the members list in the lobby. If you were previously a member but do not see your name listed, this means your membership has been long expired and we have not received a renewal. Please do not forget to submit a membership form with your updated information. Membership forms can be found in the lobby as well. Membership lists posted in Brothers' and Sisters' lobby are current as of Thursday, November 1, 2016.
The importance of maintaining Masjid membership is to ensure you have a voice as a community member and the right to vote in any open general body decision making process relating to the masjid, in addition to nominations and voting on nominees for masjid board or committee positions. Members who have not maintained an active membership by minimum 60 days before a voting process are not eligible to vote. Active membership means you have either renewed your membership, or it has not been greater than 365 days since your last membership (new member or renewal) application submission.

Fall Class & Lecture Schedule

|
Sh Ammar has begun his classes. In addition to the classes, Sh Ammar is going through Sayd Al-Khatir by Ibn al-Jawzy most days after Isha. Brothers are also encouraged to attend Sh Ammar's Quran Halaqah on Sundays after Fajr.
Advanced Arabic Class has been moved to Wednesday.
Sh Ahmed Khater will begin teaching Usool Al-Fiqh on Thursdays (After Isha) from the coming week.
Classes and lectures are free and open for members to attend.
