Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali
Director, End Child Poverty, Arigatou International - Nairobi
Dr. Ali has served as the Secretary General of the African Council of Religious Leaders and Africa Representative of Religions for Peace International for the last six years. He has been working to build peaceful, just and harmonious societies and promoting peaceful coexistence between faiths and communities in Africa. Together with religious leaders and multilateral institutions including the African Union and the United Nations, governments and partners, Dr. Ali has been extensively involved in finding ways to peacefully and sustainably address some of the most intractable conflicts in the most challenging countries and locations in Africa.
Dr. Ali is a recipient of the 2012 Coexist International Peace Prize to honor his action-oriented work and leadership in interfaith relations and dialogue, as well as conflict transformation in Africa. He holds a PhD
from the University of Portsmouth; MA in Diplomacy and International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a BSc. in Information Sciences from Moi University.

Ms. Ornella Barros
Program Officer, Prayer and Action for Children, Arigatou International - New York
Ornella is originally from Colombia where she joined the GNRC in 2002 to support the implementation of the Learning to Live Together Programme and World Day of Prayer and Action for Children. She has several years of international experience supporting children and youth participation and child protection processes, conducting participatory training and evaluation research, as well as coordinating advocacy campaigns.
Ornella is a political scientist and holds a master's degree on Human Rights from the University of Oslo. Ornella currently works for Arigatou International Prayer and Action for Children office and has collaborated with child-focused organizations including World Vision, The European Wergeland Center, Terre des Hommes International Federation, Kindernothilfe, Save the Children, and Global Child Forum.

Mr. Nicolas Meslaoui
Program Manager for Quality & Growth at Catholic Relief Services
Nicolas is based in Sarajevo where he works as a Program Manager for Quality & Growth at Catholic Relief Services (CRS). As part of his job, Nicolas supports project teams to improve program quality and coordinates the country program's business development efforts. Prior to this assignment, Nicolas worked in Greece and Palestine to support refugee integration and livelihoods programming.
Before joining CRS, Nicolas spent several years working with national and international organizations to promote child participation and peacebuilding across several countries in Europe, South America, and Africa. Originally Belgian, Nicolas lives in Sarajevo with his wife and their one-year-old daughter – Maia.

Rev. Fred Nyabera
Secretary-General, Global Network of Religions for Children and Director, Arigatou International - Nairobi
Fred Nyabera is a Social Scientist and a trained Theologian whose interest is in development work. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Nairobi; Bachelor of Divinity (Master of Divinity equivalent) from Union Biblical Seminary, India; and Post Graduate studies in Conflict Transformation with the Eastern Mennonites University, Virginia U.S.A. He is also currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership at Africa International University, Kenya.
Rev. Nyabera served as a pastor at the Nairobi Baptist Church and Karen Community Church and as Executive Director of the Fellowship of Christian Councils and Churches in the Great Lakes and the Horn of Africa. He has worked with Inua Kenya Foundation as its Executive Director.

Ms. Rebeca Rios-Kohn J.D.
Director Prayer and Action, Arigatou International - New York
Rebeca Rios Kohn is a native of Uruguay and a French citizen with over 25 years of experience in human development, human rights, and children’s rights. She received a Juris Doctor from the T.C. Williams School of Law, at the University of Richmond, in Virginia. Before joining Arigatou International she held senior level positions with UNICEF and UNDP and dedicated many years to advocating for children’s rights and worked
with many partners including faith-based organizations.
Ms. Rios-Kohn has authored a number of articles and academic papers for law journals and UN publications on a wide range of subjects related to children, the human rights-based approach to development, diverse
gender issues and also co-authored “Protecting the World’s Children”, a UNICEF publication. She serves as Director of Arigatou International New York Office and Prayer and Action for Children.

Ms. Bissan Salman
Political Advisor, Japanese Embassy in Tel Aviv
Bissan works as a political advisor at the Japanese Embassy in Tel Aviv. Her work focuses on connecting between the Palestinian community in Israel and Japanese diplomats, focusing on the economic and political sectors. She began her professional career at the Open House, a peace education center in the city of Ramle. Through the organization, she worked on numerous coexistence events and programs. Simultaneously, she became an activist at Arigatou International, a non-profit organization committed to building a better world for children. Through the organization, she received the opportunity to participate in many international conferences on children rights in Europe, Japan, and Africa.
Bissan has a wide experience in public and private sectors in Israel, as well as in international NGOs. She holds a BA in Political Science and Communication from Bar-Ilan University. In 2015, she received the Chevening Scholarship from the British Government for a Master's Degree in human rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Ms. María Lucia Uribe
Director, Ethics Education for Children, Arigatou International - Geneva
Maria Lucia Uribe is currently the convener, on behalf of Arigatou International, of the Working Group on Children and Violence of Child Rights Connect. Previously she served as Coordinator of the Working Group on Education and Fragility for the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE). From 2005 to 2010 she served as Program Officer of Arigatou International, where she was co-responsible for the development of its Learning to Live Together Programme launched in collaboration with UNESCO and UNICEF. She currently heads the strategic implementation and expansion of Ethics Education for Children as a Knowledge and Action Hub with partners in more than 30 countries.
Maria Lucia is on the Steering Group of the International Partnership for Religion and Development (PaRD) representing Arigatou International. Maria Lucia holds a Master in Peace and Conflict Transformation from the University of Basel, a specialization in Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and a Bachelor degree in International Relations and Finance in Colombia. Maria Lucia is also a fellow of the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship.
