Vision & Hearing
The children in the 3s & 4s programs will be screened today/tomorrow for vision and hearing.
- Families will only be notified if their child does not pass one or both of the screenings.
- This is a preliminary screening, any family that is contacted will be encouraged to visit an ophthalmologist or an audiologist for a more comprehensive evaluation.

Holiday Gift Drive
We are excited to be launching our Holiday Gift Drive! This year SLC will be providing gifts to children through the Childcare Network of Evanston.
- A flyer with details about how to donate is in your child's folder.
- Starting Nov. 12th look for the display board outside your child's classroom for the gift list
- Bring unwrapped gifts to SLC between December 10-13.

Food For Friends

Teacher Appreciation Fund
The Governing Board of Directors created the TAF fund to help families recognize the dedicated teachers and staff of SLC.
- It's an easy way to show your appreciation! Donations are voluntary but encouraged.
- The suggested annual contribution is $60.00/per child but donations of any size are welcome.
- Staff members receive a bonus in December and June.
- The fund also supports Teacher Appreciation Week and a year-end luncheon.

Holiday Bazaar
The Women's Club of Evanston is hosting an artisan gift fair. Proceeds from the event provide grants to local charities.
- Preview Party: Friday, November 16th from 5-9p.m. Tickets are $25.00 on Friday only.
- The event is free on Saturday & Sunday November 17 & 18.

"Explore Advent” November 18 10:15- 11:30 a.m. Roy Hall
Join First Presbyterian as we prepare together for Christmas. Families will have the opportunity to make an Advent wreath, decorate cookies, make a Nativity set, make a Christmas ornament, or make an Advent calendar. Each activity will include a brief introduction to the meaning of Advent.
