All Things Small Business

We've seen new businesses pop-up and pair-up, attended some grand openings, and more this fall, with more excitement around the corner with Small Business Saturday, our small business mixer, and the holiday season.
Remember that Small Business Saturday is coming up on 11/24! We're hosting a small business mixer in preparation for shop small, and will be giving out promotional goodies for everyone. RSVP here for Friday, November 16, 2018 at 6pm, at CAMPspace.

This new cajun and asian, seafood restaurant and bar opened at the end of the summer. Swing by for their happy hour!

Cap City Ink + New Shops coming to University Town Center
New to UTC are Cap City Ink (Embroidery + Custom Shirts), and coming soon: a new Mediterranean-Italian-Uyghur restaurant, Marco and Polo Cafe and Grill.

See the unveiling of the newest Sculptural Bus Shelter (designed by Kyle Miller and Tim Scofield, fabricated by Independent Custom Metalworks) and of the newly installed sculpture, “Aya” by Valerie Theberge, at the front entrance!
Maryland Meadworks
A new brewery is in town, and it celebrated its grand opening last weekend! Mead is also known as honey wine. They're located next to Shortcake Bakery. 
Cookie Wear   +   MD Tag and Title
Hailing from many years on Georgia Ave, Cookie Wear's HQ on Farragut St offers 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's fun and fashion. Comics, clothes, skateboards, candles, and many pop culture finds.

Suffragette City is a joint vintage clothing and accessory store. Did you know--both Nonasuch and Cookie Wear each were pop-ups within Tanglewood Works!
Sangfroid Distilling
Will open soon, also along Route One! This distillery will feature traditional gin and other spirits.
New Teriyaki Restaurant coming to Arts District Hyattsville Shops
Now under construction, get ready for a new restaurant! In the former Hair Cuttery space.
My Dead Aunt's Books
The reincarnation of Robert Harper Books (formerly located in Riverdale Park), is now in residency at Tanglewood Works! A Grand Opening Celebration will be held Saturday Nov. 3 from 11- 9 including book readings and musical performances.
