Giving Season is here
With Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday, Christmas, and New Years, November and December are the time of year to reflect on and share our blessings.

Last Giving Season, you gave $14,000
The generous donations you gave last year in November and December went to support our ongoing programming, as well as provide Christmas parties and much needed supplies for the homeless community of Nairobi. The street community is much larger than the boys and girls who leave to join our program. There are mothers, babies, old and young, who make up the homeless community of Nairobi, and we believe the mission of Christ is to love and serve them all.
To that end, one of our Christmas programs (pictured above) was to host a party to bless the mothers and their young children who are part of our street programs. We blessed them with new clothes and a healthy meal for everyone. Their smiling faces and full bellies are the reason we love what we do.
We also hosted a Christmas celebration at our boarding school in Kamulu, where our students received Christmas presents and celebrated the Christmas holiday together with our staff, in the warmth of a loving and caring community.

This year, our goal is $23,000
Will you consider giving generously again this year? We hope to provide another season of celebration and generosity to the street community of Nairobi, to our students, and to our alumni who are working to build a better life in the city.
Just as you will celebrate the connections of your community and the blessings of the holidays, your donations will make this possible for the Kenyans we serve.

and here's how we'll get there together
- Giving Tuesday | Mark your calendar for Giving Tuesday on November 27th. The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday is an international movement to support the nonprofits you care most about. Will you join the fun and make a donation to Made in the Streets?
- End of Year Giving | The end of the year is a great opportunity to look back over the blessings of your year and consider giving a gift to Made in the Streets. Historically, November and December is when MITS brings in the largest donations. We depend on these end of year gifts to keep our budget balanced and plan well for the upcoming year.
- Memorial and Honor Gifts | We welcome memorial and honor gifts year round, but the end of the year is a great time to support the work we do in Kenya in honor or in memory of a loved one.
- Sponsor a student | Have you visited MITS? Met our students? Don't sponsor one yet? What are you waiting for?!? Student sponsorship costs $75/month and helps cover the cost of feeding, housing, clothing, educating, and mentoring these precious students as they grow and prepare for life after graduation. ...AND by turning every dollar you give into two!
You read that right, a generous group of people who love MITS has agreed to match every dollar given during this Giving Season, turning every dollar you give into two (up to $10,000 given). That means the first $10,000 given during Giving Season will automatically turn into $20,000, bringing us so close to our $23,000 goal.
So mark your calendars for Giving Tuesday (November 27th), and stay tuned on our social channels for exciting updates in store for the holiday season (such as the return of the Christmas store)!
