Herefordshire Wildlife Trust & Tree Charter

I'm looking forward to Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's fund-raising lecture on Friday 30th November 7-9pm at Hereford Town Hall.  The theme this year is trees, presented by Rob McBride, Archie Miles and David Lovelace.

Trees give us great pleasure and do much to help us practically - they lift my spirits every day. We are facing the prospect of losing most of our ash trees and many more natives are threatened by disease, pollution and development. If you would like to give our trees a helping hand, consider signing the Tree Charter and becoming a member of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust or your local Wildlife Trust.

Painting Workshop: Poetics of Space

Three spaces left on Richard's painting workshop at The Print Shed on Saturday 1st December.
Composition can seem a dry subject, yet it is one of the keys to breathing poetry and magic into our paintings. Using practical exercises and lively debate, we will explore angles of vision, orchestrating space, arial perspective and more. Taking inspiration from British landscape painters including Nash, Hitchens and Turner, we will look at how different compositional approaches change the way we see and experience a scene. The afternoon is free to paint your own landscapes, experimenting with new, and perhaps surprising, compositions.
Workshop runs 10 - 4, £62
