Institution of the Rev Mary Ellen Doran  Wednesday 7 November, 6pm at St David’s, Cheraw. All parishioners are invited to this wonderful celebration with Bishop Lawrence and  the clergy of our deanery. Mary Ellen will be serving two churches, St David’s, Cheraw and St Paul’s, Bennettsville. You may recall that Fr Michael and Fr Joel blessed to assist with some Sunday services at St David’s during the interregnum. Join us in celebrating the call of Mary Ellen Doran and in anticipation for what the Holy Spirit is doing in our deanery.

School of Healing Prayer (For those interested in Intercessory Prayer Ministry)

Deacon Roger & Joanne Griffin, SAMS Missionaries to Mexico will be with us to discuss the mission and ministry that God has placed on their hearts. RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH AT 6PM, PARISH HALL, HOLY COMFORTER.

Annual Mepkin Abbey Creche Pilgrimage  Saturday 24 November Bus leaving Holy Cross at 10.00 am & leaving Holy Comforter at 10.30 am. Lunch at Gilligan’s Restaurant at noon. Creche exhibit at the Abbey starts at 1.30 pm. Space limited to 14, please see Fr Michael right away to reserve your seat.

Thanksgiving Day Eucharist followed by Thanksgiving Dinner, Thursday, November 22nd   Noonday (12 pm) Holy Eucharist in the Church of the Holy Cross followed by lunch in Cranmer Hall. The service and lunch is offered especially for those who would otherwise be alone on Thanksgiving Day.  Celebrate Thanksgiving with Your Church Family! This offers us an excellent opportunity to invite our neighbours, family and friends to join us for a Thanksgiving Service followed by a Traditional Family Style meal. Two traditional turkeys are being provided with stuffing and dressing. There is a sign-up sheet for folks to offer bring a side-dish or dessert.

Parish Prayer Request Cards are in your pew and available at the entrance to the church. Place in the offering plate for prayers to be listed on the parish prayer list for six weeks.
