As you all know, Tuesday, November 6 is Election Day.  As we enter into the last days of the campaign, I just want to express how grateful I am to have interacted with so many of you.  Our campaign has knocked on literally thousands of doors, getting to know you better, and learning what issues are most important to you.  Doing this has simply made me a better Representative.  Thank you so much for your support. I greatly appreciate it.

I Would Greatly Appreciate Your Vote!

It has truly been an honor representing you at the State Capitol.  I have lived in West Valley for 31 years, and since first being elected in 2012, I have proven to be a "get things done" representative for West Valley. I will remain a strong voice for those who live, work and send their children to schools on the West Side. Some of my accomplishments include:

• Effective! - Recognized as one of Utah's "most effective" legislators.
• Sponsored and passed the most significant piece of legislation in several years dealing with campaign finance / ethics in Utah.
• Passed bills protecting and helping victims of sexual abuse.
• Sponsored legislation fighting for West Side schools.
• Passed several bills guaranteeing greater fairness in Utah's election process.
• Actively seek input from West Valley teachers and principals to determine their needs.
• Recognized by the Salt Lake Tribune as a "refreshing” . . . “example of bipartisanship” and as a legislator whose "top issue" is education.
• Sponsored and passed bills making our State government more transparent and accessible.
• Accessible and Responsive! - I have held over a dozen town-hall meetings, sent out dozens of e-mail newsletters, mailed surveys to my constituents before each legislative session, I actually answer my phone and return calls, have knocked thousands of doors in District 33 getting to know my constituents better, etc., etc.!

How to Vote

Salt Lake County decided to make this year primarily a vote-by-mail election.  Accordingly, the poll location you have voted at in the past may be closed this year.  The ONLY poll location in District 33 open this year is at West Valley City Hall.

Because this year is primarily a Vote-By-Mail election, we may have long lines on Election Day! (remember Election Day 2016?) 

So here are your options:

1. If you mail in your ballot, it must be signed and postmarked by Nov. 5th, the day before Election Day.
2. You can also drop off your signed ballot at the secure drop box at West Valley City Hall up until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. 
3. If you vote in person on Election Day, go to West Valley City Hall, and go EARLY to avoid the longest lines.
