HoTPCA Annual Meeting & Potluck

Join us on Sunday, November 18 for the HoTPCA Potluck!

Mark your calendars to join us for the HoTPCA Annual Meeting and Potluck from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, November 18 at The High Road on Dawson! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet RPCVs, renew or start your membership, hear annual updates, and get excited about next year’s goals and events with good food and warm friendships.

Renew or start your annual HoTPCA membership! Dues are $15 for the year, benefiting our grant program and HoTPCA programming. You will be able to purchase raffle tickets, international calendars, and pay your annual membership dues with cash, check, or credit card. 

Regional breakdown for potluck dishes*:

  • Europe/North Africa: Appetizers
  • Asia and Pacific Islands: Desserts
  • South and Latin America: Entrees
  • Sub Saharan Africa: Salads (get creative!)

*There is no need to bring beverages for this event since The High Road on Dawson offers drink service.

Recruiting for HoTPCA Board Positions (2019-2020)
The super awesome HoTPCA board has three open positions to fill this for the upcoming 2-year term. We meet quarterly over a potluck brunch, it's a great way to give back to the community, looks fancy on a resume, and the HoTPCA board consists of a very fun bunch of people.
OPEN BOARD POSITIONS (2019-2020):

Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is a named position to indicate the importance of continued volunteer service to our overall mission and purpose. The Volunteer Coordinator, appointed by the Board, will:
• Organize occasional volunteer activities for general membership,
• Serve as a member of the Events Committee,
• Hold at least one volunteering related event per quarter
• Recruit and manage volunteers for HoTPCA events,
• Keep records on volunteers and report volunteer activity, including special recognitions to the Board.

Partnerships Chair 
• Serve as liaison between HoTPCA and similar organizations,
• Coordinate partnerships and collaborations to further the HoTPCA mission, and
• Promote and facilitate third goal activities when possible. 

Events Chair
• Coordinate ongoing and monthly events,
• Offer new social or informational meetings that support HoTPCA’s mission,
• Organize volunteers to support volunteer coordinator, and
• Oversee planning and implementation of the Annual Meeting.
