Principal's Message
Dear Wealthy Elementary Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended our Halloween parade and celebrations last Wednesday! Having the opportunity to parade in their costumes is a favorite activity for many of our students. The staff enjoyed dressing as “Hearts of Gold”en Girls. Although many of the students may have missed the TV show reference, they enjoy singing the theme song, “Thank You for Being a Friend” each Friday. Pictures from that day may be viewed on our Flickr page here. We know many parents take wonderful photos, and we ask you to submit them by following the instructions found here. All photos go through a review process before being posted, so it does take time before they are available for public viewing.
Election Day
Tomorrow is election day and our students will have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote on the selection for this year’s PTO Family Movie Night held on Friday, January 25, 2019. The election is run and ballots are counted by the Student Leadership Team. This year’s choices are Incredibles 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, and The Emoji Movie. To learn more about the movies on Common Sense Media, please click here. We hope to see many of you at this school community event sponsored by our PTO in January.
Veterans Day Assembly - Friday, November 9
This Friday is our annual recognition of those who have served in the armed forces. Wealthy Elementary School invites all relatives and friends of our school community who have served or are serving in the United States military to join us on Friday, November 9 at 10:30 a.m. for our annual Veterans Day Assembly. Our Student Leadership Team is hosting a reception for Veterans and their student relatives in Pioneer Lobby at 10:00 AM. In order to plan for the reception, please click here to RSVP. We are asking all students to wear red, white, and blue on Friday, November 9. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly. Please keep in mind that you may park only in designated spots in the lots or along the road and that all students and Veteran guests are seated first.
Each year we have a slideshow highlighting relatives of our Wealthy Elementary students who have served in the military. Pictures shared in years past will remain in our slideshow. If you have a new picture you would like to share, please send the following information to me at callen@egrps.org by 3:30 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, November 6.
