6th Annual Electric VTOL Symposium
Early Bird Registration Deadline is Dec. 10!
The Vertical Flight Society's 6th Annual Electric VTOL Symposium will be held on Jan. 29-31 as part of the 8th Biennial Autonomous VTOL Technical Meeting, in Mesa, Arizona. The conference will feature technical paper presentations related to manned and unmanned autonomous VTOL aircraft, while the Symposium will feature invited presentations, panel sessions and discussions on electric and hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft.
The current list of planned speakers for the eVTOL Symposium has now been posted! Don't miss your opportunity to hear the latest progress and insights of leaders from NASA, FAA, A³ Vahana, Bell, Honeywell, Karem Aircraft, Kitty Hawk, Leonardo, Sikorsky, Terrafugia, Uber, XTI Aircraft and many others! In parallel, the Autonomous VTOL Technical Meeting features more than three dozen technical papers.

NASA Releases Two UAM Reports
In 2017, NASA hired two teams of consultants to study the viability of different urban air mobility (UAM) use cases. On Nov. 6, NASA released highlights of the two in-depth UAM reports to the public, with more content planned for release in late November.
GAMA Pushes eVTOL with EASA
On Nov. 14, 2018, the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced that it had conducted two days of meetings with European regulators on the development of eVTOL aircraft and technologies.
